Go for ROUNDWALL and add SNAKE-RUN too...I have a rough sketch by Buddy Rawls to include that would be way cool and very functional.

Be carefull when filling out the Bowie, MD poll... they want you to rate features on a 1 to 5 scale, with 1 being the most desired and 5 being the least desired.

Bowie, MD is building a concrete skatepark. The suits want to know what to build, so they have a poll online for you to help them along. You know what to do.

Big props to the "Over 30 Crew" who hit Athens this week! I guess we'd all been hitting it at different times throughout the summer and this time we all happened to hit it togther! There were a whole lot more carves than kickflips! A great day at the park, I tell ya!

Yeah, it was fun. I'm hoping to carve out some time and put together a little video. Probably nothing you guys haven't seen a hundred times before. Frontside inverts and boardslides forever...

As I understand it, World Cup is running this years comp as part of their bowl series. There was a few in Europe, then Strawberry and the last one is supposed to be at Etnies.
I read on the Concretedisciples forums that a lot of people had mixed feelings about World Cup running the contest. My thought is, how are they gonna have the Strawberry Bowl and the West 49 (World Cup in Toronto) both on the same weekend?
I'll be at one or the other. I'll post if I hear any more info or you can email Don Bostick at don@wcsk8.com and ask him for details. Please post if you hear any more info about it. Thanx :)

That's cool. He came up for a Motor Cross race of some sort in Washington, just across the river from Hood River, OR. I was stoked. You're right, he is a super nice guy. more photos: http://www.policygov.com/skate/hoodriver.html

Dan, killer pic of Cab. He shows up all over Cali and still rips it up. Super nice guy, too. I'm stoked that he got up to your neck of the woods.

I don't know about you, but up here in the NW we rarely get to skate with pros. Which is fine, however it's nice to skate with a legend every once in a while. I got to do that yesterday, when Steve came to Hood River, Oregon. I was totally stoked. It was totally was worth the 4 hour drive to skate with him.

It looks like a vert session is coming together for Milpitas mid-Sat, with RockinRon from the CD forum popping in for kicks. If you're up for riding, I'm over the hill in Vallejo. Slim pickins these days in Sonoma, but an odd pool used to turn up every now and again off Arnold Drive.

Yes, I'm stuck in the armpit of Sonoma County, Oh, excuse me, the "Beautiful Sonoma County Wine County".
Heading to Vans either Fri or Sat morning. Don't think I'm gonna make the slalom practice in San Jose at 8 am on Sat as it's about a 2 1/2 hour drive from here :( Mark Johnson is organizing one-posted on the Bulletin Board forum.

Yeah Dan, I skated it the day after it opened. I LOVE the pool. Super fun!! The day I was there Tony Hawk did an inverted 540 in the deep end fourth try. Also, Brad and Jesse from Gravity were there tearin it up. There's a photo of Heidi going over the deathbox on the Concretedisciples website.
I miss the old wood bowl though as that was my main reason for going there before, but now, I'm make my main excuse the pool. Looks like you're gonna have to make another long trek down there pretty soon :)

I'm going to be in Denver 8/5-7 and skating the park downtown some, but then heading up to Breckenridge and don't know which parks might be best? Looking for bowls and transition, let me know any suggestions, an e-mail back would be great.

My vote. Leave the light. Get up and over it!

Thanx Chris, I've been to both of those but thanx for the suggestion :) I really like Folsom, except like Fresno, you get radiated while skating :( I'm actually headed there Friday.
Anyone have any new news on the San Rafael or Vallejo skateparks?

Mike! Hope all is well with you. I have a lot of friends in Houston. If it were not 3.5 hours from Dallas I'd come meet you. VANS Houston closed down but if you want an indoor park, Southside is a good one. Very nice birch layered bowl with endless lines. If you want some backyarders I can hook that up for you as well.

Hey Sasha, Go to Ripon, early a.m. sessions. No crowds...barely any traffic. bmx-icans are ticketed by Ripon police promptly. OR, go out to Folsom on a Friday or Saturday night to avoid the heat. They're open until 10 p.m. I know neither park is in the east bay...but if you're hazarding a three hour drive, either one of these parks is within easy reach. Chris Olden
