Glen D! Call me back, I lost your number and the one you left on my machine is indecipherable. I tried to come talk to you at the Deathrace, but Ed damn near shoved me into the bowl for crossing his precious starting line, even tho no one was racing. By the time I got all the way around, you were gone.

Arab,
I know you know exactly who BJS is. My response was directed towards the uninformed floridian to let him know the person who wasn't digging him is one of the legends of skateboarding who is respected by everyone from Tony Alva to Tony Hawk.
I was just surprised. I imagine that most current golfers would know who Sam Snead, Tommy Armour, and Jack Nicholes is. I can only imagine that someone who doesn't golf or has not been exposed to golf would not know who they were. The same goes for skateboarding. There are some people that everyone who claims skateboarding as a pastime, hobby or sport should know about. Ben is one of those guys.
I admit that this is remedial skate history but it obviously needed pointing out to some.

Most skaters know who Ben is!
Not many people know that DP rode for DT, One of the rarest pig boards to come by is the DP DT.
Heres some skate trivia for anybody! (your excluded glen and you too of course Ben)
What is Bens 2 older brothers names? (Gnarley skaters in their own right)
Who was Bens next oldest brother married to? (Hint Salbaland)

Brady - Humor: (dictionary-based definition omitted) something that is not generally understood by the too-literal minded. Don't put that dictionary back yet. Look up 'rigid'. Lighten up a little. You may not realize that you ARE Arab's "protagonist" by unwittingly being the foil for his need to smack. Deep breath now, it's OK to relax.

Arab, Don`t know who BJS is but my point of relevance was stated and his post doesn`t matter.
Judi, I feel bad at the thought of anyone dying from a sport related injury. Moreso when it`s someone close to one of us (skateboarders). But then, I already stated that in my post. The part about Arab and his digs comes from a long history of Arab doing just so. So why is everyone so offended when this is brought up?
Maybe Adam should make this a female and kids show only?
And the funny thing is I didn`t call anyone names, make light of another, state untruths as facts and y`all wanna come down on me? Now lets get real...please.

Geezer, Planning on going to G3. Had a blast at the last one. Nothing like racing again after a twenty something year break. See you there. Arab, Thanks for the support. Don't know who Brady is, don't care. Spoke with Alva the other day. He did a Mercedes commercial in Europe. He wore a helmet. It's kind of a good idea when your going 40+ over a $350,000 Gullwing. When it comes out he's going to post it on his site. He digs the slalom cross idea by the way.

Judi-Your welcome, sorry for the intrusion, you gals are welcome here at all times, but it is all Kids And Girls on the weekends!
Sasha-I seen Ryan get knocked out and a concussion wearing a helmet, I thought he would have learned from that.
Brady-first off Judi Oyama and Ben Schroeder are not "protaganist" they happen to be two highly respected skateboarders whos roots go way deeper then you will ever know. Maybe they just dont like your irratating post?????
Sasha is one of the most well rounded skateboarders and at 15 yrs old could wup! yer but in what ever form of skating you want to do!
Let me explain something to you Brady, this forum was created by the webmaster, if you got a problem with this forum and its content, please email webmaster@ncdsa.com and file your grievance with him.
NCDSA has posting guidlines that dont apply to certain sections,
Pools Parks has photos every day with "your Shortboarders"
Slalomboards are not longboards
How many actual longboard events do you see on the Contest Calender?
If this site was Longboard only, you wouldnt be allowed here!
This site has evolved from its OG intentions to one of the most diversified skateboard sites on the net, and to think that it is just blooming everyday with better things, how cool is that!!!!!!
So what kind of crap are you trying to stir up now and why?
like the Jack in the box commercial sez:
"Just Go!"
Us skateboarders want to talk about whatever skateboard subjects we want to talk about, while you whiners want to piss and moan about whatever you want to piss and moan about.
Maybe for topic of the day, we could do all Brady all the time?
Topic of discussion:
Should we do a All Brady all the time here on the gong show?
it could be like the
"Your Momma is so Fat Jokes"
But "Brady is such a Kook that"

Wow Judi. I was so shocked to read about the demise of Mr. Kivelev. He was such a talented young rider, and becoming a real force on the Cofidis squad. I was looking forward to seeing him in the tour this year. I hate to see this sort of thing, and although I pretty much always wear my helmet when I skate on 4 wheels or 8, he'll be another person who's gone who I'm reminded of when I buckle my lid on. Coming to G3? it was cool seeing you there last year. Our local outlaw races are "pads and lids optional" and I wonder why we risk our hard-found spots. 1 ambulance call for an unconcious closed-head injury rider who opted not to wear a bucket, and we can probably consider the venue a bust...

Arab thanks for this section. Brady go back over to the slalom site where all you guys do is act like negnoids. I can't stand reading all the negative posts. I thought we had a spot where we could have a fresh attitude. Terry, I got some helmet prizes for the kids and amateur divisions for the Slalom Cross Race coming up April 12. Thanks again for letting the up and comers have a place to show there stuff. thanks. Keeping it fun.

Brady--I am aware this is a longboard site. I ride for Gravity and soon there will be photos of me on their site riding my LONGBOARD. It just so happens that I also skate street and slalom.
Arab-Believe me, I got teased for the longest time about the shin guards. I started wearing them because I was getting pemanent dents in my shins from flip tricks gone awry. I figured, if I'm in pain and can't skate, that defeats the purpose- I LIVE to skate. Same thing goes with the helmets. It like this, if I hit my head and I die, then I can't skate, so what's the point of that?????
Regarding Lauren, I was really bummed last year when we were at Slam City Jam and Lauren showed up to skate with no helmet. So the helmet wearers went down from 3 to 2 at that time. Lauren is one of the best female streetskaters in the world. I know this year she will be beating Vanessa and Amy. Did you know Elissa is doing the contest circuit this year. That ought to be interesting.
But back to the kids...At Slam, my mom was up in the Oakley booth with Gretchen, Trina, and Misty. The moms of 3 of the best young street skaters from SoCal. My mom said as she was watching Lauren, Ryan, and Austen skate she was thinking, don't these moms worry about the crazy things these kids are doing without helmets? When Ryan did one of his runs he did a huge kickflip indy of the ski jump I can't even tell you how many feet in the air. When I was doing the ski jump, I launched higher in the air and farther than I've ever gone before and it sure woke me up. I was not wearing knee pads so I had to run out of the first couple before I landed it and I was wishing I was wearing pads so I could just slide out down the hill instead. Lauren didn't even do it. Lyn-z was wearing helmet AND knee pads put us both to shame. So there's something to be said about wearing pads to help you land your tricks.
It made me mad when all last year the skateboard magazines were making comments about Ryan like " He finally grew up-stopped wearing a helmet and put on pants". I'm thinking, what's up with that? He already skated better than most everyone making negative comments about him.
Last comment--I recently left Scarykid, my skateboard company of two years, for two reasons. Reason one, two of the guys they put on the team a year after me are having a problem with the media coverage I get, and two, mostly because according to the team manager "Slalom and Longboarding are not what I want Scarykid to be about. Scarykid is hardcore street. You are doing slalom, riding your longboard and skating pools. You are therfore giving others the impression that Scarykid is headed in that direction and we are not." What's up with that?? Since when is being a well rounded skater a crime? The guys I look up to the most are the ones that can skate everything like you Arab and the other skaters with a "history" that are still rippin today.....

Arab, As one who has been hurt from skating more than I`d like to admit, I can fully sympathise with anyone else who gets hurt and especially the loss of life due to rider negligence and not wearing proper equipment.
The facts are the rider in this latest saga was on a bike, and this is a longboard site. Also the girl who is being forced into NOT wearing a helmet, is talking about a STREET contest. Just take under Posting Guidelines and sub-paragraph "irritating Posts" #4... ".... Posts about shortboards. There are hundreds of shortboard sites on the web. This is not one of them..."
As I already pointed out, there are already forums that deal with helmets, injuries and such.
All I asked is what is the true nature of this forum. I didn`t put it down, I just asked a simple question. Is it about KIDS? Well then the title doesn`t fit. A forum with kids should have tolerance and be a guiding factor. IT SHOULDN`T be a GONG SHOW!!
And yet, as I expected, rather than deal with the question at hand, you take another dig at me (and your protaganists as well).
Maybe that`s the true narure of this forum? hmmmm???
