Sliding is growind at incredible speed! Yuppie is the main reason at the moment for this. He is traveling around the World demonstrating what can be done on a skateboard flying doen a hill. He won the recent Slide Fest, He toured with Lush, Shiner and Faltown along with myself. //////////////everywher he foes he is the Michael Jordan of sliding! Everybody wants to slide like him be around him, he is a star.
This has only been the beginning though. Now he is in Skateboarder magazine, has an eight page spread in the current Tribo magazine here in Brazil and he will also be on the cover of the new CW.
Go Sergio!

Fabrice,
I'll be back in the Bay Area 2/23/06 You need to save a little time for me to show you the Berkeley area.
There is plenty of sun here. The weather in Rio is about 27 to 29C at night and about 32 in the day time. The surf was about 6 to 9' today. Mostly a shore break but consistent all day.
Talk to you later, Cliff

CKnuck,
I'm in Brazil so I had to respond to multiple questions while I had a chance. Notice that I didn't post for a while because I couldn't get to a computer.
Regarding July, I might be in the UK. It is in the works, but we can probably work out your dates also.
Nice to hear from you, Cliff

Hey Cliff. Are you trying to be like Chappy with so many posts in a row.
I heard your board come with a Free Slide Clinic. So try to keep yourself availble for the early July race in Ottawa and we will try to get you here.

Karen,
Go to Cliffslider.com. Then click on "articles", then click on the image of the article to read how to slide. It is basic information that will get you started.
Here is information you also might need. When pushing, make sure that whatever foot is on the deck is flat when pushing! This will make your first days much easier if you can push and remain in control.
Stay in touch if you have any questions. I also recommend the saftandboneless.co.uk site for a video lesson.

Charlie,
Good to here from you! I have been traveling as much as possible since I last saw you. I went to Australia for a month. Then I had three trips to England. I also went to Canada, Costa Rica and Albuquerque to ride the ditches. I'm in Brazil now. When I get back on Feb 23rd. It would be great to try and visit. either you can come to the Bay Area or I can make it to the Tahoe, Truckee area.
Get back to me with contact information please,
Cliff

Check out the vids of the faltown visit on saftandboneless.co.uk, theres cliff taking some people through the coleman slide at the clinic. Just get those finding it hard to get low and start taking corners leaning on the slide gloves in control and as you push further an further it will all come. Slide on bro

Cliff, You say your new board is avilable now.... I have searched the web for ever to order one. I need one. the sliding is so great out here in SL,UT. I use a gravity long board or my new school trik board and i am looking for a wider board longer then my trik deck. I was also wondering if you have a vid on basic lessons on how to start sliding. The lesson videos at faltown are great but I need more moves. I have friends who are having a hard time getting started. so a vid for beginers threw novice would be sweet. I know you could sell a lot of them here in Salt Lake City ----just a good idea for you cliff. you should make a trip out here for a slide comp and demo lessons. we could have 30+ sliders by spring and we could put you up in a nice place while you are here. just food for thought. If not, im sure Holden (hello bro) could help you out with some tricks...
