just wanted 2 add a spot concerning parking structures fashion island newport beach has 5 story corkscrew type structure very fast dangerrous depending on your weight.had a power slide unintentionally on 2nd to last ramp from bottom hung on but would have been ugly should i have fallen.if u go wear ur gear.we try 2 go every other night to bristol /jamboree or von karemn irvine,or 2457 anton st.the last site was chased by a security guard after 14 runs=84 floors funny watching him try 2 catch us.took a samml breatygher this week as wife tried sport out and promptly broke her arm.makes me think about protection and my lack of it asphalt and concrete unforgiving.also irvine seems 2 corelate sk8boarding with drug abuse so if u run into tthem expect a shakedown search..parking structures r strictly night weekend sport enjoy..

Nope, I haven't hit the ditch in White Rock. I only passed through that area a couple of times while living up in Bellingham, WA. The skatepark in New Westminster is more longboarder-friendly in my opinion, I've even seen it in a Sector 9 ad.

I tried to find those cool ditches in Henderson, and got a litttle lucky I guess (found one). But while searching, I realized that that area has some SICK hills. Long and fast.
And I don't know if there would ever be a time to run it, but Charleston Blvd. coming from Red Rocks towards I-15, is LOOOOONG. It looks like it is a nice carving grade hill, but it is at least several miles long. The problem is all the traffic lights. Maybe it could be done on a Sunday morning. It has a fulltime bike lane too.
Just some ideas.

Yes, indeedy, White Rock, British Columbia, Canada (West Coast y'all), pretty much rocks in all aspects of skate--from the bowl to the banks by the beach and everything in between. There is also a secret bonus level--the hidden irrigation ditch. Short, maybe sweet--Haven't tried it yet, but I will next time I'm up. Kaylee and Kane/Kristian, have y'all tried it out?

Hey guys just wanted to tell you what your missing in Canada, Were Both from an affluent beach community White Rock. White Rock has some of the steepest hills in the world including the infamous "Oxford Hill" a 23 percent downgrade (not to mention the meridians in the center of the hill) heading out onto the main drag at the beachfront. So If your in the neighbourhood be sure to drop in on two lonely longboarders. Some other hills to mention include Columbia, Buena Vista, Marine Drive (a nice cruiser hill) Peace out and Jah love (were actually white) See you guys later.

Yea there are a couple of good hills to bomb, some residential areas, and Turley Hill on 66th and Cincinnati. If you know where that is. But the best hills are in southeastern Ok, about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Tulsa. Well worth the drive.

Just a wild-ass-guess here, but I think the site in question is in Amarillo. Then again, the Great State of Texas has a HUGE network of ditches & reservoirs as well as pipes. Off the subject here, but if you want to skate a cool ditch in TX, it's ~20 miles east of Odessa on the I-10 on the north side. Yep, Texas has it all & then some /;~)henry

San Angelo exists, and judging from their dailies and a search on "skateboard", they are none too friendly to skaters. Didn't find the story in question, though.

I don't think so, David. Note the date on that story is from two years ago. If people here had been busted like that we would have been reading posts for weeks on end. I also searched for the town name and came up nil.

Adult skateboard gang busted for trespass
SAN ANGELO, Texas — A group of thirtysomething skateboarders who came to West Texas for some adventure got more than they bargained for Sunday.
The Coke County Sheriff's Department arrested nine men caught skateboarding in a spillway at a reservoir.
Chief Deputy Marshall Millican said the men, six from California and three from San Antonio, were brought to the area by an Internet chat group. All the men were between 35 and 40 years old.
"Some kids just never grow up," Millican said.
The men were arrested on charges of criminal trespassing and booked into the Tom Green County Justice Center Sunday night. Criminal trespassing is a Class B misdemeanor, which carries jail time as long as 180 days and a possible $2,000 fine.
Millican said that most of the men are out on bond.
At the spillway, the men rappelled 50 feet to an area containing a 30-foot concrete pipe that leads to the gates where the water is let out, Millican said.
The men were caught skateboarding inside the pipe.
Millican said that the area is restricted and that signs stating "Keep Out" and "No Trespassing" are posted all around the chain-link fence surrounding the reservoir.
"These men said they came out here to go skateboarding," he said. "The guys from California bought plane tickets and flew out here."
The incident is not the first time the reservoir has received attention from out-of-town skateboarders. Millican said several weeks ago a lake employee caught 28 men parked outside the gate trying to get in. The men were given a warning and sent away.
This time the men parked their cars on the road away from the gate and walked to the location.
Millican said when officers arrived they observed rope hanging on the pipes from which the men rappelled.
Millican said the sheriff's office is not investigating any Internet sites or chat rooms to seek out prospective trespassers, but will deal with them if they come.
"If people want to come down here, break the law, go to jail and pay a fine, then that's what we'll do," he said. "If trespassers are caught, then we'll take them to jail. This is something that we're not going to give warnings about."

Hi Miguel. Yeah, Miami is WAY flat. But there are some spots that you may want to check out. Haulover Beach has some pretty cool little runs. Check it out @ night time. There's some parking garages in the downtown area. Again, night sessions are the key here. While you're down by Key Biscayne, check out the banks along the road that leads to Crandon Park Beach. They're under the 1st bridge going out towards Crandon. Just be careful not to lose your board in the water. Another place I can recommend for night runs is the NW 103rd st. bridge just outside of Hialeah by Opa Locka. Check out NW 83rd st. by the Palmetto expressway. There's another spot w/ banks just off the Palmetto & Red Road on the south side. I think it's a furniture store. Buena suerte y dime como va la buscada /;~)henry
