Thanks for the feedback. We'll I guess I thought the section from around stow lake heading up towards the big green house area looked kinda fun but full of roller boogie bladers. I'll try it anyway. Does anyone know of any good areas in the richmond around 30-48th aves. thanks.

a short 4 block long run - speeds up to 35mph.
EFFIE runs parallel to Sunset (two blocks nort of sunset). Ride it from MICHELTORENA to LUCILE. 2 blocks downhill, 1 block flat, one block uphill to run off speed. Lots of cars so use caution. Good little hill to carve and test various truck/board/wheel combos. For those of you with balls, take Micheltorena south to sunset (40mph) Or head further up Micheltorena 2 blocks and bomb the whole thing (50-60mph) if you like to risk your life. All is nice smooth recent asphalt.

Has anyone skated any of the hills in Tijuana along the 1d and above Playa Tijuana. I went down there last night... they look inviting.

Hey Joe,
Can't believe it, a post from Kingwood, Texas. Grew up there in the seventies/early eighties. Does anyone still bomb Burning Tree road in Forest Cove?

Yeah, that section of Golden Gate Park is pretty flat. It is an ok ride thru the park if the traffic is light. Nothing to make a special trip for, but if you are in the area, it is an ok ride.

Hodad64,

The closed-off section of the park is pretty flat, but it's fun for kickin' around and people watching. When I was last there a couple of years ago I was the only longboarder, thought I suppose that's changed now.

Back in the late 70's, my brother took on some hills in the heights, and left skin from most of his body on the pavement. It was gruesome...

There is a real sweet hill near the intersection of Lexington Street and Main Street (I think...) You are in the right place if you see a Dunkin on one side and the Busy Bee Pub on the other. As your facing the Pub go right and take your first left. It's a long (1/2 mile???) gentle slope. Great for late night runs after having a few at the Pub.

My roomate and I went up to 6th street a few days ago on a whim, but that's beside the point. Where are you staying, what's your phone number and all that shyte so I can find you when I hop up there?

I've nearly killed myself multiple times in the 5 or 6 days I've been here, so that's something (remind me to tell you about it). And I don't have any wounds to show for it outside of a scrape on the ankle. Damn bastards wouldn't get out of the way.

Should probably email me with the phone number and all that, I'm still at my hotmail address.

adios

Haven't had a chance to go either but UT looks pretty good. The traffic is kinda scary tho. I'm probably gonna go out tonight around one. I haven't decided on my 42 or 52. There is a great looking hill right outside of my dorm. It's is about half a mile long and half of that is quite steep. I really need some gloves, but oh well. There doesn't appear to be too much rubble in Port-A so get up whenever you can. The hills outside of town look like they might have great potential. Anybody else in Austin interested in hooking up to ride? E-mail me.

Hey Matt, the Trinity campus, with nice sloping curves and shinnin' new pavement looks to have much potential for riding. Kinda like a larger, steeper version of UTMSI. I haven't had a chance to take a spin yet, so I don't know how well it'll go over with campus cops, the bastards. Anyhow, I'm probably going to have to be doing some disaster relief this upcoming weekend, you know, sorting through to rubble after Bret, but the weekend after that I should be free to hop on up to Austin for a few. cool?
