Nice picture NEZ! Looks like quite a crew at GMR on Sunday! "Loaded" Paul was talking about getting up there early with a photographer...DT's "Birthday Bomb" was going to start off at GMR in the early hours as well. Now Brent and NEZ are planning to make it. I'm thinking that most of us will be there between 7 and 8am. A drive to the backside would be cool!!! Anyone out there with a suburban or a van that wants to make some $$$ as a driver? 5-10 bucks a head will pay for gas and driver if we have enough riders. I'll spring for DT's share...happy birthday DT! Oh....Who is NEZ? And...Congrats to RJ for kicking ass in Europe!!! See you guys there!

Adam Daniels..nothing on the caps yet. They were fairly easy to do on the old flywheels where the core was flush with the outside of the wheel. Newer flys and speedvents are not as easily "capped".
The Calgary race is supposed to have major prize $$$$$$$....around $10,000.00 total...wow!! John is going up to represent the Rogers Bros.
Mr. wu...if you are still down south....GMR on sunday morning for the DT birthday bomb session...be there!
Danny...sucks about the ankle..heal up!! No Top Challenge for me...I'm going to make Sandia my only travel this year....I can't wait to ride those ditches again and look forward to riding the new butter on Sandia Mtn.
We need to get a big SoCal session going...Dump rd...kLuDyviLLe...S9 boys...you know how we roll!!

Dave, Yeah man, I sprained the living hell out of my ankle. I probably won't even get to practice before Top Challenge. Maybe I'll be ready to skate some GMR or Dump Road in a month or so. Are you going to Top Challenge? Tell the family I said Hi. DC

ya know, GMR is a siiiiiiick road. no doubt. im heading out there tmrw, sunday, so if u wanna ride come out! as for Santa Cruz, Bonny Doone road is pretty crackin if u want to get gnarly. Still to this day i havent pushed it to its full potential, and ive been clocked doin 55mph. and there still are other roads in the immediate area, like empire grade, felton empire, and a bunch of undiscovered roads. I have yet to muster up the balls to charge some of these hills, but i will some day..... I dont think santa cruz is exactly considered the "Bay Area" its more monterey bay. In San Francisco, and Berkeley especially, there are some great roads out there. Ive had the opportunity to ride them once or twice, and it was all fun. Of course, it isnt a closed road for 8 miles full of hundreds of turns....and that insane right turn, but the bay area has some serious hills. My point is, theres gnarly hills everywhere. San jose even. It is a matter of discovering them, and musturing the courageto actually ride these crazy hills.

there was talk a while back about maybe the re-birth of Roger Bros caps....but then all that talk died. whats the word?
Maybe custom orders? I would REALLY like to order caps for my Speed Vents....these puppies get super dirty. I notice that with most slalom-esc wheels, i think the lip design makes some sorta wind vortex and when dirt flies by, it sucks it in

Gnarliest hills in the west... I spent the past year in santa cruz and nothing in the bay area comes close to GMR. SF may have some steep hills but when it comes to the most bad ass hills GMR takes the cake bro. SF gravity fest was cancled and unless you plan on holding a race IGSA has no plans to hold an event there next year. All we have right now in california is outlaws and IGSA regionals in San Dimas CA.

Rik...coastlongboarding.com has info about downhill races in the Pacific Northwest. You just missed the Maryhill, WA race. The Vernon race and the Sully Challenge are coming up in Canada. The guys on coastlongboarding should give you the info you need. The Seattle and Portland downhillers frequent that site as well. Check the contest calendar here as well as the CSA thread for slalom race info in the NW. Hope that helps!

Cdub..the DH truck is very stable out of the box. Any truck that is really loose can wobble. Try tightening the back a few turns tighter than the front and get comfortable on them before you bomb a hill. Typically, the more experienced your legs get, the looser you can run your trucks.

I just got randal DH trucks for bombing hills I was riding way tight gullwing mission trucks, but when I put these Randal trucks on my board I got way my more play and was able to turn easier than my gullwings which I didnt think was going to be the case since they were Downhill trucks. As it is more turny Im worried to bomb any of my normal hills, should I tighten these trucks or will they be ok. Or is the board Im using allowing more turn because of the concavee
